How do I set the PATH system variable for Windows command line?

For Windows XP,

1. Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings
2. Click on Environment Variables, under System Variables, find PATH, and click on it.
3. Click Edit, modify PATH by adding the location

For Windows 7,

1. Right click "My Computer" and choose Property.
